Folder Colorizer for Windows 11 respects your privacy completely.
Last Updated: June 12, 2026
Folder Colorizer for Windows 11 ("the Software") is a local desktop application designed to customize folder icons natively using Windows desktop.ini configurations. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the Software operates.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information or telemetry data.
The Software operates entirely offline on your local machine. It does not:
Folder Colorizer only modifies the appearance of folders you explicitly choose to colorize. It does this by creating or modifying hidden desktop.ini files within the target folders and assigning native Windows folder icons. It does not alter your actual files, nor does it install background services, daemons, or tracking agents.
If we make changes to how the Software handles privacy in future updates, we will reflect those changes in this document. Since the Software operates offline, you are only bound by the privacy policy of the version you have currently installed.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy, please open an issue in the GitHub Repository.
